We will have Fall Foliage trains on October 22nd and 23rd and the Santa Express trains on the weekend of December 17th and 18th, 2011. Bellefonte Museum for Families of Centre County
The mission of the museum is to celebrate the human spirit through the arts and showing art from around the corner and around the world. The museum has become a community for artists, families and patron in the region.
With six galleries featuring the works of local artists, the museum helps artists promote and sell their work. There is also a seventh gallery, The Windows Gallery, that features non-local art from near and far. This provides a unique perspective on the world that is open to both artists and the community. The museum also has programs displaying poetry, music, art, and a variety of educational programs designed to enrich the lives of visitors.
Housed in the historic Linn House, built in 1810, the museum offers free admission to the museum and most events. In April 2016 a permanent exhibit will open at the museum, commemorating the role Bellefonte played in the Underground Railroad before the Civil War.
